Indications/Uses
Maintenance bronchodilator treatment to relieve symptoms in adult patients w/ COPD.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Recommended & max dose: 1 inhalation once daily, administered at the same time of the day each day.
Special Precautions
Should not be used in patients w/ asthma or for the relief of acute symptoms ie, as rescue therapy for the treatment of acute episodes of bronchospasm. Discontinue in case of paradoxical bronchospasm. Re-evaluate patient & treatment regimen in the event of COPD deterioration during treatment. Exercise caution in patients w/ severe CV disorders, particularly cardiac arrhythmias; urinary retention or narrow-angle glaucoma. Rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Severe hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Nasopharyngitis, upper resp tract infection, UTI, sinusitis; headache; tachycardia; cough. Pharyngitis; hypersensitivity reactions; dysgeusia; atrial fibrillation, rhythm idioventricular, supraventricular tachycardia, supraventricular extrasystoles; constipation, dry mouth; rash. Eye pain.
Drug Interactions
Co-administration w/ other long-acting muscarinic antagonists or medicinal products containing umeclidinium is not recommended as it may potentiate known inhaled muscarinic antagonist adverse reactions.
